Welcome to my little corner of the wedding flower world!
My florist journey began back in 1992 when I started working and training at my local florist shop just outside Edinburgh.

My story

After 3 years of college and in-shop training including washing flower buckets and sweeping the floor (it’s not all about sweet scented flowers you know!) I then began working as a fully qualified florist in various shops throughout Edinburgh, gaining more experience than ever and finding my individual style and confidence with flowers and the business.

I opened my own shop in Currie in 1996 and this is where Vickys Flowers began! I created a busy little shop delivering flowers for all occasions locally and internationally with a great team of florists and counter staff and fantastic loyal customers. Throughout this time wedding flowers had grown to be where my heart was and my most creative side could flourish.

My story

A New Chapter

Eventually the time was right to close the shop and follow my heart, focusing exclusively, designing and creating wedding flowers. So, by working directly from my home workshop this became a reality in 2011. A giant leap forward and loving every minute!  I have built a solid and trusted reputation with suppliers and wedding venues throughout the Lothians. I am often at Carlowrie Castle which is voted one of the top 3 wedding venues in Europe. Dundas Castle, one of Scotlands most beautiful 15th century castles and also smaller venues such as the exquisite Harburn Barn set amidst 10 acres of stunning mature gardens and ponds.

I feel lucky to have found my passion working in some incredible venues with beautiful flowers and creating arrangements for such an important day in peoples lives. I enjoy the whole process from meeting happy newly engaged couples to the buzz and excitement of the set up on the wedding day and most importantly seeing the huge smile when the flowers I created from our shared vision are seen for the first time.
